Thomas Gray has stepped in front of a dozen or so adult athletes who may have been up for nomination as Athlete of the Month in July, and he is 13. What caused him to stand out in the eyes of his trainers at CrossFit Football is his relentless work ethic.
Thomas has been in CFFB since the early spring, and goes after every workout with 100% determination. He even caught the eye of some of the trainers who train the General Skills classes, when he would slip in with the adults, beat the pants off everyone, and quietly go on his way. He is positive, friendly, and hardworking, and his gains and attitude in CrossFit Football have earned him the title of July Athlete of the Month. Congratulations Thomas!
A few words from Thomas:
How I was introduced to Crossfit: I was introduced this year by one of the trainers, Larry Ramey, who is my cousin.
My favorite WOD/exercise is: Three of my favorite exercises are pullups, box jumps, and dead lifts.
My nemesis exercise is: Shoulder Press
Outside the gym, I like to: Play basketball; it’s my favorite sport to play, and CrossFit has helped me improve.
My favorite Cheat food is: Pop Tarts
My proudest accomplishment is: Being able to do ten straight, strict pullups.
My six month goal is: Increase my weight by 10 lbs.
If I created a WOD and named it after myself what would the workout be: 5 Max Weight dead lifts, 10 KBS, 20 yard prowler push, 1 dead lift (with same weight). 5 rounds.
What do I love most about Power Performance: It may not be the biggest of the nicest facility, but it is filled with people who work hard to achieve their own goals, not worrying about anything else.
